This year, LADWP will replace more than 170,000 feet of pipeline. To ensure our limited water resources continue to reach our customers safely and efficiently, we continuously upgrade water infrastructure and are the first in the nation to install earthquake resilient pipe. L.A.’s water system includes 7,340 miles of pipes running underneath the city, enough pipeline to reach from LA to Hong Kong, China.
